Program

The Children’s Garden is a private, not-for-profit preschool serving children and their families in the Grant Park and Ormewood Park neighborhoods, Cabbagetown, East Atlanta, Kirkwood, L5P and surrounding communities. We employ a highly experienced, professional team of teachers dedicated to early child learning and nurture.

Since its inception, TCGP has continued to meet the the needs of families of all backgrounds, beliefs and traditions.

As an independent, non-profit community preschool, TCGP’s core, whole-child, holistic approach to joyful learning is always our goal.   What we share in common is a love of children and a belief that all children should be nurtured and honored in the way we feel they learn best–in small group settings, with an emphasis on process oriented experience and teachers creating opportunities for children to satisfy their natural curiosity and immersion into joyful learning.

We offer an enriching program that supports and nurtures the whole child  through activities such as  free play, circle, watercolor painting, creative play, crafts, storytelling and “language arts”, baking & cooking, outdoor activity and the play garden.

Through creative play, the groundwork for learning is founded.
We see intellects grow and imaginations emerge.

In our preschool children will experience their first efforts in making friends, nurturing self-esteem and confidence.  A regular daily rhythm (schedule/flow) for classroom and play garden time helps children learn to adapt to daily routines.
